SRAM MRAM Group to set-up Medical College and Hospital in Kazakhstan
Largest Healthcare Facility in Kazakhstan
UK-based SRAM & MRAM Group, in collaboration with Big B Corporation and KAZIND Medical Group of Kazakhstan, will develop Kazakhstan’s largest private healthcare facility. Dr Sailesh Lachu Hiranandani, Chairman of SRAM and MRAM Group, said the project will be Central Asia’s largest medical university and healthcare facility.

Creating Jobs and Boosting the Economy
The project is projected to create 1000s of healthcare and ancillary jobs and drive significant economic activity and growth. Healthcare, hospitality, cab services, food and beverage are some of the industries likely to benefit. The Kazak Government has allotted 243 hectares at Astana and 100 hectares at Almaty on lease for 99 years.
Last year, the Group and BIG B signed an MoU with the Kazakh Government to develop a modern Medical University, a multi-specialty Hospital and a 5-star hotel in the region.
The Medical College will intake about 10,000 students and have a 1,000-bed multi-speciality hospital. The joint venture will also develop a 5-star hotel with 500 rooms. This will enhance the overall patient experience and give a boost to medical tourism.
