BYJU’S, NITI Aayog Partner To Provide Free Education in 112 Districts

BYJU’S learning materials will now be available for children in 112 districts in the country free of cost. The collaboration between BYJU’s and NITI Aayog will primarily feature two components:

  • The BYJU’S Career Plus program, which will identify and provide high-quality coaching and preparation for meritorious students. The partnership will be a boon for 3000 deserving students of classes 11 and 12 who aspire to crack NEET and JEE.
  • Second, it allows school-going children to access academic content from the BYJU’S The Learning App for three years. This is a step forward under the education for all initiative.

A Bold Initiative By NITI Aayog To Collaborate With BYJU’S

NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant launched the initiative through a video conference. In his letters  to the Chief Secretaries of the state, he said, “NITI Aayog is partnering with BYJU’S to make these supplemental learning resources available to children in the government schools in 112 Aspirational Districts on a pro-bono basis.”

Program details

Aspirants will have to go through a screening test before they can enroll in the career plus program. Students will be provided with the BYJU’S learning material, along with mentoring guidance and support. They will also have access to digital infrastructure like tablets and smartphones along with support centers. It’s a unique initiative that combines online and classroom learning.

Aim of Collaboration

While BYJU’S empowers millions of children in the country through the Education for All program; the NITI Aayog partnership further strengthens its efforts. This provides children in reserved communities and remote locations with an opportunity to learn through technology. Thus, bringing a positive change in the education system of the country. This collaboration is especially a boon for those who wish to appear for NEET and JEE examinations.
