Hyderabad ‘Makes it Large’ as it unveils the World’s Largest Cricket Bat

As the anticipation around ICC T20 soars – both on & off the field – Hyderabad has once again made waves by being the National Team’s most enthusiastic cheerleader.. At a length of 56.1 ft the city is now home to World’s Largest Cricket Bat. This breathtaking structure has been installed at Tank Bund – a local hotspot for citizens & tourists to visit.
The structure was installed & inaugurated in an event here on Saturday 23th October 2021. The chief guests who were present for the event were Shri Arvind Kumar, IAS Special Chief Secretary, MA&UD & Director General (NIUM), Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, IAS and Secretary of Information Technology, Government of Telangana, Mr. Md. Azharuddin, former Indian captain and president of Hyderabad Cricket Association & officials from Royal Stag (Pernod Ricard India Pvt Ltd).
Making It to the Guinness Book
The cricket bat with a length of 56.1 ft & weighs over 9000 kg has been installed by popular brand – Royal Stag, to celebrate the ICC T20 world cup by making the world’s largest in keeping with the brand’s ethos – Make It Large!
“The idea of making the world’s largest cricket bat has been in the making for the last 2 years” quoted Ritesh Miglani, Marketing Head, South India– Pernod Ricard. “The cricket bat is a symbol of cricket fan’s expectations from India Cricket Team & it is a humbling experience to dedicate it to state of Telangana” he further added. Md Azharuddin, who was present at the occasion expressed his gratitude towards this gesture & felt confident that team India will do well in the upcoming tournament.

The Royal Stag cricket bat has been certified as the world’s largest by the Guinness Book of Records, overtaking the previous record-holder by roughly 5 ft. The bat will be on display at Tank Bund from 23rd October. The call has been made to the general public to share their greetings & good wishes to Team India.
