WHOLE WHEAT JAGGERY- TEA CAKE
- Preparation time- 15-20 mins
- Baking time- 35-40 mins
- Total time- 50 mins to 1 hour
Ingredients
- ¾ cup grated jaggery
- ½ curd
- ½ oil
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- Slivered almonds
Directions-
- Preheat oven to 175 C
- Grease a cake pan, line with parchment paper
Baking Instructions-
- In a mixing bowl, grated jaggery, curd, and oil assemble the wet ingredients.
- Whisk it all together until the jaggery dissolves, and make it a point not to over-mix.
- To the wet ingredients, combine the dry ingredients using a silicone spatula [ Wheat flour, baking powder and baking soda]
- Add 3 tbsp milk and vanilla extract to the batter, and mix it till well combined.
- Pour the cake batter into the pan and top it with slivered almonds or any dry fruits you choose.
- Place the pan in a preheated oven and bake it for 35 to 40 mins at 180 C.
