Easy French Bread Pizza Recipe

French bread is a versatile food. It can be enjoyed by the strict and the not-so-strict dieters. It can be used in preparing various savouries such as French toast, French cutlet, French bread honey pan cakes and the list goes on.

As a foodie, I prefer using French bread over regular bread as it is feels light in the tummy yet provides an instant energy boost.

I am giving you a tastier way to enjoy French bread.

Here is my recipe to prepare French Bread Pizza. It combines the best of both worlds (Italy and France). This is a super-easy recipe to serve when you crave something delicious or when you have visitors or friends at home.

Ingredients for French Bread Pizza

  • Around one bowl of tomato sauce.
  • Half teaspoon finely chopped garlic
  • Half teaspoon of oregano for garnishing
  • Salt
  • 1 loaf of French bread
  • 1 bowl of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Half-a-bowl of pepperoni slices
  • Quarter cup grated cheese
  • Basil for topping
  • Crushed red pepper flakes for garnishing

Method of Preparation

  • Fire up the oven to 420℉
  • In a bowl, mix garlic, tomato sauce, oregano, and a little salt. Set aside the mixture.
  • Cut the French bread loaf into half lengthwise and then half crosswise, so you will have 4 pizza crusts.
  • In a baking tray, place all 4 crusts, spread the tomato sauce mix evenly on all of them. Sprinkle some mozzarella cheese over the top and place a few pepperoni slices.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the pepperoni.
  • Place into the oven and bake it for 10-15 minutes until it turns golden brown or until the cheese is bubbly and brown.
  • Take the pizza out and let it cool a little.
  • Add toppings like oregano, flakes, and some cheese.

Note: If you wish to you can use the provolone cheese on the crust and for topping
